Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood Pays Tribute To His Alter Ego ‘Marty Funkhouser’
If you have never watched Curb Your Enthusiasm before, well you are missing out, for me it’s the funniest program on the telly.
And Marty Funkouser is one of the main characters in the series alongside Larry David.
Bob Einsteen the actor who played Marty Funkhouser passed away this week, and tributes have been pouring in for actor.
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has joined the tributes in remembering iconic comedy actor Bob Einstein who passed away at the age of 76.
The American actor, comedy writer and producer, is also famed for creating and performing the satirical stuntman character Super Dave Osborne, as well as his role as Marty Funkhouser in the hit comedy, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
According to reports, the iconic comedy actor was recently diagnosed with cancer and passed away on Wednesday morning in Indian Wells, California.
Responding to the news, Greenwood explained how he used the alias ‘Marty Funkhouser’ to check into hotels while touring with Radiohead.
“So sad to hear this,” Greenwood wrote in a post on social media.
“He was amazing in Curb: I was Marty Funkhouser on the last two Radiohead tours in tribute to his beautifully pitched performance.
“So subtle. And to think it was all improvised,” he added before showing evidence of his subtle name change.
